Pat "The Bat" Burrell Credited With Helping Giants Beat Detroit

Pat Burrell in the 2010 Giants World Series Parade

Former Boulder Creek Little Leaguer, Pat Burrell played a critical role in the SF Giants sweep of the Detroit Tigers.  Team officials said the rookie scout helped the front office and field staff develop their game plan for the World Series with insights into how to pitch to Tigers hitters, defensive positioning and Detroit pitching tendencies that he gathered by attending the Tigers-Yankees ALCS games as an advance scout for the Giants.

SF Manager Bruce Bochy said "Pat has done a really remarkable job all year helping out with advancing but also here as we're playing a team we haven't seen."
