SLV Chamber Job Faire A Big Success

The San Lorenzo Valley Chamber hosted a job faire on Saturday in Felton with over a dozen organizations present and over 200 job seekers in attendance.

Another dozen businesses provided notices of local job opportunities within their organizations.

Sean Castagna of Santa Cruz Staffing was impressed with the quality of applicants he received and felt confident that he would be able to place some of the people he met.  Barbara Sprenger from The Satellite said the event was "Among the most effective events she has participated in."

Representatives from Liberty Bank, Mt Hermon, Transition San Lorenzo Valley, The Workforce Investment Board and others took resumes and provided counseling to job seekers who ranged in age from high school youth to senior citizens.

Both businesses and job seekers alike expressed appreciation for the Job Faire and indicated that they would like to participate again in the future.
