Summer Saturday in SLV

As usual lots going on along the Highway 9 corridor in SLV and the Santa Cruz Mountains this weekend:

A flea market at the Presbyterian Church in Felton (south of the downtown area). There seem to be a higher than usual number of Yard Sales signs are up and down the Valley. A lot of local young soccer players are participating in a Jamboree at Skypark. At 10:00 AM at High School Freshmen footballers from all over are participating in the SCCAL jamboree on the SLV campus. A car wash to benefit the Girls soccer program also begins a t 10 at Cornerstone (Hwy 9 and Graham Hill Rd). The Bigfoot Discovery Project and Museum will have music, art, food and discussions all day out in front of the museum near the entrance to Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. The 10th annual Johnson Family Farm Pickin’ Party gets underway in Boulder Creek at 1PM and at the Mountain Art Center on Mill St in Ben Lomond it’s Ukuleles Gone WiLD beginning at 3PM. At 6PM the Junior Varsity Football team travels to Santa Cruz High for their Jamboree and there’s Live Music throughout the Valley on Saturday Night at Joe’s Bar in Boulder Creek, Henfling’s in Ben Lomond and Don Quixote’s in Felton.

The sun was out early, the moon will still be bright, enjoy the last August Saturday of the summer.
