VWC Environmental Committee Meeting Sept 8th

Due to the Labor Day holiday, the September Meeting of the Valley Women's Club Environmental Committee will be held on Saturday, September 8, 10:30am at the gift store meeting room at Henry Cowell Redwood State Park.

There will be an update on the Air Pollution regulations being formulated for the SLV, in an effort to reduce the significant health risks from the current levels of smoke and particulate pollutants. You will be very interested in the approach being taken - and the effort to reach out to folks to be sure they understand the reasons why the regulations are being strengthened.

Also on the agenda: the 26th Annual Al Haynes Memorial River & Road Cleanup which takes place the following Saturday, September 15.  Help is needed to staff sign-in tables as well as a variety of  other tasks from 8:45am till noon.  Email Nancy Macy for more info: nbbm@cruzio.com
