Bike Ride and Festival in Advance of Amgen Tour This Weekend
Schedule for Sat., May 1 bike rides + festival in Santa Cruz!
This Saturday at Swift Street Courtyard
402 Ingalls Street, Santa Cruz, CA join in one of three bike bike rides - and/or the bike contest and festival that same afternoon:
1. The Bonny Doon Challenge has two routes that start at 8:30 a.m.: 27 miles and 45 miles. Registration ($50) required and includes delicious lunch after. Proceeds help offset cost of hosting TOC stage. Deadline for ONLINE registration is Wednesday, April 28, 2010 @ 5:00 PM. Sign up here: http://www.facebook.com/l/
2. Free family Fun Ride leaves at 10:30 am
Bring the whole family along on a free ride up to Wilder Ranch and back. About 6 miles of mostly level road and trail riding. All types of bicycles and trailers welcome. Helmets are required for all riders, even those in trailers. Registration onsite (not online) required, starting at 9:30 am.
FESTIVAL FUN:
Noon - Kelly's BBQ feast - buy a yummy lunch or it's included with the Challenge ride registration.
1 p.m. Bike Contest - categories include: Oldest, Classic, Goofiest, Most Artistic, Most Miles on Odometer, Best Kid's Bike, Most Unusual Helmet and MORE.
